On January 25th 2011 a training programme for future volunteers took place in the office of the Focus Centre. The course was called “Volunteering- vision and mission”.
The main objective of the initiative is to carry out voluntary work for the benefit of society and make it a regular practice that will continue until beyond the end of 2011, the European Voluntary Work Year.
Fourteen young people participated actively in the training, receiving information about different issues regarding volunteering, such as what a volunteer is, what are his/her rights and duties, what the European Voluntary Service (EVS) is.
All the future volunteers registered their personal details on the Focus data base, in order to for their mission: to carry out voluntary work among Pazardjik and its surroundings.
